The Cork City Branch is the representation of the Irish Red Cross in Cork. The Branch's role is in community service and maintaining the activities of the Red Cross Society. The Cork City Branch was established in 1939 and is currently based in Turners Cross.

Other activities of the Branch and the Red Cross include, first aid training, caring for the sick courses, search and rescue service, mountain rescue, disaster response, therapeutic hand care, skin camouflage, fundraising, International Humanitarian Law, restoring family links, community visits, services for elderly, handicapped, asylum seekers and home carers, the Red Cross first aid prison programme, Teddy Bear hospital, Introducing students to the emergency services, IRC youth programme as well as Red Cross overseas involvement.
